Most work in Sri Lanka gets split between a videographer, a freelance editor and a designer. We keep all three in one room.
Raw Studio is a video production agency in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We plan, shoot and finish video for brands, agencies, hotels, property developers and product companies — corporate films, television and social ads, event coverage, music videos and product films — and we do the post-production ourselves rather than handing it to someone else.
That single pipeline is the difference. The person who framed the shot is in the building when it is graded, so the look you agreed in the brief is the look you receive. Nothing is lost between hand-offs, revisions do not need a new contract with a new freelancer, and one number answers for the whole project.
The studio covers five crafts: video production, photography, video editing and post, 3D animation and product rendering, and graphic design. Take all five or just the one you are missing — plenty of clients come to us only for the edit, or only for a 3D product film to sit inside a campaign someone else shot.

At Raw Studio the whole job sits with one team: planning and shot list, crew and gear on the shoot day, then editing, colour, sound, graphics and 3D in the same building. You brief once instead of coordinating a videographer, an editor and a designer separately.
Do you work outside Colombo?
Yes. The studio is based in Colombo and we shoot island-wide — Kandy, Galle, Negombo, Jaffna, the hill country and the coast. Travel and logistics are built into the quote before the shoot is confirmed.
How much does video production cost in Sri Lanka?
Every project is quoted on its scope: shoot days, crew size, locations, whether there is 3D or motion graphics, and how many cuts you need for different platforms. Send the brief on WhatsApp and you get a written quote for that scope rather than a generic price list.
How long does a project take?
Timelines are set in the planning stage, before anyone shoots. A single-day shoot with a straightforward edit moves much faster than a multi-location film with 3D. We confirm shoot dates and delivery dates in writing up front.
Can you edit footage we already have?
Yes. Video editing is a standalone service — send your rushes and we handle the cut, colour grade, sound, subtitles and graphics, and deliver the versions you need for YouTube, TV, Instagram and TikTok.
What formats do you deliver?
Whatever the platform needs: 16:9 masters, 9:16 vertical cuts, square social versions, subtitle files and print-ready artwork where design is part of the job.
